Each man is good in the sight of the Great Spirit

--Sitting Bull, TETON SIOUX

Our bodies are both physical and spiritual. At our very center we are spiritual. Our bodies are built around the spiritual.

The center is the unseen world. Therefore, we cannot see it with our eyes and we tend to judge the body because we can see it.

The body is not who we are. We can see the spiritual if we are spiritual ourselves. We won't see this always with our physical eyes.

Usually we will see it with our spiritual eye. We will hear ourselves say "I know this to be true."

At the center of all human beings is the place of good. That includes myself. At my very core is good. I can find this place by staying free of resentments, fear, dishonesty and self-seeking motives.

My Creator, keep me free this day of resentment, selfishness, dishonesty and fear.

Native American Code of Ethics

1. Rise with the sun to pray. Pray alone. Pray often. The Great Spirit will listen, if you only speak.

2. Be tolerant of those who are lost on their path. Ignorance, conceit, anger, jealousy and greed stem from a lost soul. Pray that they will find guidance.

3. Search for yourself, by yourself. Do not allow others to make your path for you. It is your road, and yours alone. Others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.

4. Treat the guests in your home with much consideration. Serve them the best food, give them the best bed and treat them with respect and honor.

5. Do not take what is not yours whether from a person, a community, the wilderness or from a culture. It was not earned nor given. It is not yours.

6. Respect all things that are placed upon this earth - whether it be people or plant.

7. Honor other people's thoughts, wishes and words. Never interrupt another or mock or rudely mimic them. Allow each person the right to personal expression.

8. Never speak of others in a bad way. The negative energy that you put out into the universe will multiply when it returns to you.

9. All persons make mistakes. And all mistakes can be forgiven.

10. Bad thoughts cause illness of the mind, body and spirit. Practice optimism.

11. Nature is not FOR us, it is a PART of us. They are part of your worldly family.

12. Children are the seeds of our future. Plant love in their hearts and water them with wisdom and life's lessons. When they are grown, give them space to grow.

13. Avoid hurting the hearts of others. The poison of your pain will return to you.

14. Be truthful at all times. Honesty is the test of ones will within this universe.

15. Keep yourself balanced. Your Mental self, Spiritual self, Emotional self, and Physical self - all need to be strong, pure and healthy. Work out the body to strengthen the mind. Grow rich in spirit to cure emotional ails.

16. Make conscious decisions as to who you will be and how you will react. Be responsible for your own actions.

17. Respect the privacy and personal space of others. Do not touch the personal property of others - especially sacred and religious objects. This is forbidden.

18. Be true to yourself first. You cannot nurture and help others if you cannot nurture and help yourself first.

19. Respect others religious beliefs. Do not force your belief on others.

20. Share your good fortune with others. Participate in charity.

We are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our Mother Earth and the destruction of indigenous ways of life

WE, THE INTERNATIONAL COUNCIL OF THIRTEEN INDIGENOUS GRANDMOTHERS, represent a global alliance of prayer, education and healing for our Mother Earth, all Her inhabitants, all the children, and for the next seven generations to come. We are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our Mother Earth and the destruction of indigenous ways of life. We believe the teachings of our ancestors will light our way through an uncertain future. We look to further our vision through the realization of projects that protect our diverse cultures: lands, medicines, language and ceremonial ways of prayer and through projects that educate and nurture our children.

Elders Gathering at Lake Titicaca, Peru March 16 – 23, 2007

An incredible event will take place in Peru over the Spring Equinox 2007. Elders from Indigenous tribes of the Americas will gather at Lake Titicaca to council and listen to our Mother Earth, the Pachamama, and perform ceremony and ritual that will beckon in the prophesied Age of Peace, 500 years of unity and shared vision between peoples who have, for the last 500 years of Darkness, been scattered and oppressed. When the peoples of the Americas once again unite, the prophecy states, it will create worldwide transformation, allowing all of humanity to move from the depths of war into the light of peace.

Elders of Peru, keepers of this Incan vision, say that it is time for the Condor (South America) to reunite with the Eagle (North and Central America). Their mission is to formally and ritually bind the Indigenous tribes across the Americas together, for when these, the gatekeepers of our land, speak as One, the energy of their shared vision will spread to all of the tribes of Earth.

Rituals and ceremony for healing the suffering carried by the People is a vital aspect of this work, for only through forgiveness and deep healing can the Age of Darkness truly be released and the Age of Peace be welcomed in its place. When this is accomplished, the prize is a deeper and more lasting peace than many of us have ever known. It is world- changing when barriers of separation are dropped, the past is forgiven, and the People stand as One. It is the destiny of the Americas to begin this blessed transformation on the Spring Equinox 2007.

Elders from all tribes are being called to participate in this extraordinary, historic and profound event! Some will travel to Peru in March for Council and ceremony in person. Others will stay on their own land, using ritual and ceremony to anchor the energies of healing and unity over all the power places on Earth. Many will offer bundles and resolutions, stating the fulfillment of their own tribal prophecies and pledging unity with those in Peru who are bringing this vision to life. All peoples are invited to pray and heal themselves during this time, wherever they may be.

The Elders, Wisdom Keepers, Medicine People and Historians need our support to bring about this sacred transition for Earth and Humanity. Prayers and intentions are the most important contribution anyone can make, and these are asked of anyone whose heart longs for peace and unity. The gathering will be supported by participants from around the world and will also serve as a forum for cultural exchange and teaching as well cultural arts performances, such as the Eagle and Condor dances.

Earth Works for Humanity/Institute for Cultural Awareness is a 501c (3) non-profit organization coordinating the Eagle tribes of North and Central America. For more information about participating in the gathering or offering financial support to the Elders, please visit www.earthworksforhu manity.org or call (928) 646-3000.

To Whom It May Concern:

Earth Works for Humanity is honored to be the coordinating organization for the Eagle tribes of North and Central America who will be traveling to the Elders Gathering at Lake Titicaca, Peru, over the Spring Equinox,
2007. As a part of The Institute for Cultural Awareness (ICA, an 18 year-old, 501c (3) non-profit organization) , we are dedicated to providing a safe and healthy environment for cultural exchange and healing, bridging the gap between Elders and the children and creating Peace throughout the world. We are excited about this Elders Gathering and its mission to unite the Tribes of the Americas. We share the desire for peace and unity.

It is part of Earth Works for Humanity's mission to provide all funding necessary for honored Elders to travel and participate in ceremonies like this one. It is estimated that 50-60 Elders will gather in Peru, and it is our intention to fully support them and their important work by raising the funds necessary for their travel, lodging, meals, and other associated expenses.

We ask for your financial support. The estimated cost for each Elder is $3,500. Please support the Elders and the cause of Peace by returning the attached form, indicating the number of Elders you will be sponsoring, along with your donation. If you would like your organization to become a sponsor of this event, please let us know so we can include you in our written materials.

We are also asking all Indigenous communities of the Americas to join with us in Spirit at Lake Titicaca by offering declarations of support for the intention of unity throughout the Americas. Each tribe's resolution will be brought to the Gathering and incorporated into the ceremonies, linking your community to the whole. In addition, many simultaneous ceremonies will be held throughout the world on March 21, the Spring Equinox. If you are interested in coordinating a local gathering, please let us know.

Thank you for your support of Peace and Unity.

Spiritual Warrior

May we all unite as one voice to defeat these enemies that faces us all.

Spiritual Warrior

Life offers us the opportunity to become a Spiritual Warrior.
A warrior is one who bravely goes into those dark areas within
themselves to ferret out the Truth of their being.
It takes great courage, stamina and endurance to
become a Spiritual Warrior.
The path is narrow, the terrain rough and rocky.
You will walk alone: through the dark caves,
up those steep climbs and through the dense thick forest.
You will meet your dark side. The faces of fear, deceit, and
sadness all await your arrival.
No one can take this journey but you.
There comes a time, in each of our lives,
when we are given the choice to follow this path.
Should we decide to embark on this journey,
we can never turn back.... Our lives are changed forever
On this journey, there are many different places we can
choose to slip into and hide. But the path goes on.
The Spiritual Warrior stays the course, wounded at times,
exhausted and out of energy. Many times, the Warrior will
struggle back to their feet to take only a few steps before
falling again.
Rested, they forge on,
continuing the treacherous path.
The journey continues. The Spiritual Warrior
stays the course. Weakened, but never broken.
One day, the battle, loneliness and desperate fights are over.
The sun breaks through the clouds; the birds begin to sing
their sweet melodies. There is a change in the energy.
A deep change within the self.
The warrior has fought the courageous fight.
The battle of the dark night of the soul is won.
New energy now fills the Warrior.
A new path is now laid before them.
A gentler path filled with the inner-knowing
of one who has personal empowerment.
With their personal battle won, they are filled with joy.
A new awareness that they are one with the Spirit beams
as they go forth to show others the way.
They are not permitted to walk the path for others.
They can only love, guide and be a living example
of the Truth of their being
